Nice to see the clay masks of Theros's funerals represented.

I wouldn't consider this an upgrade over Orzhov Guildmage. Mana for Guildmage is easy, Coinsmith on the other hand requires you to play an enchantment deck to be useful. Guildmage is also easier to cast since you can pay it with any combination of W or B.

Been excited about this card since it was spoiled. This card will be a killer in Limited and should see Standard play.

In any WB deck in Limited you have so much reach it's ridiculous. In any board stall where you have more life than your opponent you will be able to drain them for 2-3 on their turn, then drain the rest on your turn to kill them. If you have this guy and your opponent is at less than 6 life (given you have more than that) they're probably just dead.

In Standard this will be insane for the same reason and because you can design your deck to be heavy with enchantments to keep your life total higher than theirs. This guy adds 2 devotion to Athreos and if you remember Tidebinder Mage being played because it adds UU to your devotion, this guy will definitely be a better 2 drop for the a WB deck because of the reach.

And imagine two of these guys in play at the same time?
Brain Maggot, gain 2. Banishing Light, gain 2 and swing...
What an outstanding card.

Can't really complain about this one. An obvious hate bear, with a triggered AND activated ability? Easy 4/5 from me.

junk constellation is going to be so fun to play even if it winds up being a casual thing but between this and grim guardian is a pretty nasty pair throw in some spitefull retunreds whips and bows and u got a pretty fun standard deck

It's kinda funny that this gets love while Ondu Cleric didn't get nearly as much. granted it didn't have a mana sink for late game like the coinsmith here but still, it's lifegain was significantly more powerful

I still think it's a feckin' stupid idea to make coins out of clay. But ritualism goes before practicality, I guess?

The clay masks are fine, too. But I still see a missed flavor opportunity.

This guy seems to be at least partially based on the Greek Underworld ferryman Charon, who was payed a coin to ship the dead across Acheron.

This block just so happened to introduce a certain kind of artifact tokens named Gold.

Why would they not take advantage of these perfectly convenient odds and make him interact with these Gold tokens in some way?

"Whenever a creature is put into a graveyard from the battlefield, that creature's controller chooses one — exile that    creature, or put a colorless artifact token named Gold onto the battlefield. It has "Sacrifice this artifact: Add one    mana of any color to your mana pool."

(Obviously it wouldn't be a Constellation card anymore, and the flavor text wouldn't fit anymore either.)

The concept for this Conestellation card is nice, but damn,
it irks me that these coins would be "shaped from clay and funerary masks."
