Mirrorweave 2.0, now with the ability to target opponent's creatures!
In reality, compare this card to mirrorweave:
Mirrorweave
- Costs less if using more targets
This card
- Doesn't turn your opponent's creatures into the targeted creature as well - Can target legendaries.
Though I'd say mirrorweave is probably better overall, seeing as the type of deck you'd use it in involves lots of small tokens with 1 big card to mirrorweave, and the legendary targeting on this is situational value (You can use it as a 1-sided wipe which leaves your opponent with 1 creature of their choice I guess?)

Battleplan using the new event deck: Get guttersnipe on the field and at least 3 other creatures (one of those being Battlefield Thaumaturge) and 10 mana. on your turn you copy guttersnipe onto your other 3 creatures (this costs 5 mana) and then cast magma jet/lighning strike and you have just dealt 10/11 damage for 7/8 mana

@SpaceMagic: I passed on this in draft, thinking "Crap rare." Then I pulled one from a booster, and remembered "I too have a Biovisionary deck." That runs 3 Clone. And two of the New Phyrexia cloners. And a Vesuvan Doppelganger.
Hmmm....

Absolutely DISGUSTING in Monoblue Devotion. Your ragtag army of 1/1 fliers suddenly becomes whatever your opponent's biggest creature is... after your opponent is done declaring blockers.

Use this to make all your 1/1 tokens with Battlefield Thaumaturge, then finish up with fireball for the lolz.
