Surprise! Seriously, this thing is a board wipe when used right. +2/+2 is enough to turn the tides of most battles. Also, there aren't very many flat +2/+2 anthems.

Probably one of the funnier things that can still qualify as a combat trick.

Definitely qualifies as a combat trick. And a very fun, powerful one at that.

Because this can be played as flash, I honestly think that even 5 mana is maybe a little low. I mean, yes, for it to act as a board wipe, there's the condition that you have untapped creatures and enough of them to destroy each of your opponent's creatures. I get it, it's not overpowered. But to me, a powerful one-sided combat trick that gives +2/+2 and STAYS afterwards is quite a powerful effect all in all.
Of course, I'm not speaking about constructed playability here. Because for that, perhaps 5 mana is a bit too much.

The flavor says Heliod's favor changes. The card says his favor stays after the combat trick is done.
This won me so many games at the prerelease, I really want to play this in standard now :)
Also, Heliod is totally thinking 'Nipple-beam activate!'

Ok, so Overrun was moved to white from green. Plus the effect was made instant and permanent and even manacost easier to cast. C'mon WotC, could you stop the color wheel spinning & leaking for a while?

Black and White dictates are the only good ones, everyone else's help the opponent. Would 4 mana and no flash be too greedy? Let's be honest, when you want your anthem you play your anthem, you don't want to float 5 mana in case you can blow someone out in combat. You want to cast then smash.
