Always loved this card for how useful it is. Cheap, versatile, and usable in any portion of the game.

Back during RTR Block Standard, I happened to link into this card while looking at Rites of Reaping. Needless to say, I was more than a little disappointed at what we had been given to work with.
This card is the beautiful unholy marriage between Green and Black combat tricks, and it fills its spot in Vraska's deck perfectly. Since Vraska has relatively few noncreature spells, dropping a Consume Strength in the middle of combat will almost always get a surprised reaction out of whoever's sitting across from you.
Occasionally you'll be lucky enough to drop this for a 2 for 1, but I can imagine that it'll mostly be used to allow your Reach blockers to take out Jace's bigger fliers, like Krovikan Mist or Jace's Phantasm.
If you're looking to tweak Vraska's deck, it's a safe bet that you can start by getting more of these. You'll always be happy to see one in your hand.
