why did they change the time of the 1 damage from the end of your upkeep to the begining of your draw step? changing vital things on cards like that is not cool. also, unless I bring my laptop to games nobody will believe me when i say that wizards changed it after I play my psychic possession and never take 1 damage anymore.

kitchen games will either say ignore erreta or say whatever
tournaments will say, yeah, I have the rules change here on that
(btw: few things in the last few years deal with end of upkeep, its always begining now)

with scars coming out, and voltaic key reprinted, it would make sense for this to be in Vault: Relics

This isn't, but Sol Ring is.

And I'm okay with that.

@Megrimage: The reason they've errata'd it is because "end of upkeep" isn't a triggerable event. Things can't trigger at the end of a step because the end of a step is only when the stack is empty and priority is passed in succession. It just doesn't work as a trigger.

It doesn't take someone who played for 17 years to spot how broken this is. It is Dark Ritual even if you ignore the fact that it stays on the board, waiting to interact with Voltaic Key or Tezzeret.

Of course, you do need to compare it to other broken cards in Magic's history. That would take an expert in eternal formats.

It's because "The end of your upkeep" is a silly trigger. Think about it; If something triggers at the end of your upkeep, well, its not exactly the end of your upkeep now is it? Hell, it could be most of your upkeep. It's just simpler to have things trigger at the beginnings of steps.

What the bloody....... sometimes Magic rulings scare me. Guess I'll leave that crap to the blue mages, I don't want to know about all that complicated stuff. Yech!

Ring is a bit better because it doesn't need a mini combo to run.
