Surprise blockers! A 3/3 is a good flash blocker, large enough to kill something and maybe even live to see your turn. As a sorcery, however, I'd prefer Arbor Colossus.

I love the fated cycle because it is filling in blanks in each colors game. Sure the effects aren't mind-blowing or new but they are oh-so efficient. I mean this is instant speed!
I feel like I'd rather be getting more for my 5 mana than two 3/3's. And just ignore the SCRY 2 because if you're casting this as a Sorcery you're doing it completely wrong anyhow. They can be used as a surprise blocker or to kill an opponent's creature, but really, for the mana investment I'd prefer something that scares my opponent--not just an inconvenience.

5 mana for 6 power and 6 toughness, any way you cut it

I would use this at sorcery speed simply because there aren't a ton of green token producers in standard right now and I love me some scry. As an aside I wasn't playing magic when scry was first around and thus I didn't appreciate how good it is, especially scry 2. Plus it just says on your turn so you could still use this as a bit of a surprise. All that being said five mana is a bit on the spendy side.

I think it's a good card that could definitely see play after rotation. I suggest picking them for cheap now along with Fleecemane Lion. After Voice and Advent are gone, these will probably look a lot better.
