Friend to land destruction decks maybe? Seems too slow though.

@Moleland I don't really see how this is at all similar to Stone Rain, so why are you comparing their mana costs? Stone rain destroys lands, this hurts players when lands hit the graveyard from the battlefield. they can be used together, sure, but that why compare the costs?

throw a couple of these in a slim land destruction, fun will ensue.

Stone rain only costs one less mana... so worth considering if nothing else

EDIT

@Leakyteacup - Sorry, I should been more detailed in my reply.

I meant, that lets say stone rain is in your LD deck. Use one turn 3 (hopefully you started - so this puts them on one land) then play this turn 4 - which may allow them to reach 3 lands, but also gives you a win-con - or at least help in winning.

So, it being only one more than Stone Rain means it should be considered for a LD deck, if nothing else

my question is: what is the flavor behind such an effect? What is that egg doing to my poor planeswalker?

Helps Roiling Terrain pack more of a punch. Pair with a turn 2 Ankh of Mishra and your opponent will be weaping when they play or lose mana.
