Artwork, when spoiled, seemed like a badass Merfolk legend. :(

Why is he only 2/2? He has scale birds for crying out loud!

Works pretty nicely with the myriad switch-P/T-and-cantrip cards.

Hidden Strings something else harder to block or throw Aqueous Form on the Fortune Hunter. That's scry 1 on attack then draw when you untap with the strings cipher.

Clockspinning does not actually require any counters to be on the creature it targets, allowing it to repeatedly trigger heroic effects like this one (turning it into a better Whispers of the Muse). I believe there are other buyback effects (Whim of Volrath?) that can pull this trick off even better.
Tritons are so much better than all the other Merfolk.

9/15/2013 Heroic abilities won’t trigger when a copy of a spell is created on the stack or when a spell’s targets are changed to include a creature with a heroic ability.

I like it , he's good at not loosing card advantage and blue heroic is cool to play.

Basically gives a nice bonus for playing auras, I'm surprised nobody has used him as a one-man tank- just loading him up with enchantments isn't too hard and you won't lose anything by doing so. For 3 he just feels a little pricey. Decent card overall, though, and one of the best heroic creatures so far.

I'm fine with that cost. :D
