@ Trendkill: This is the exact kind of thing I love in Magic. Color weight, identity and pie. I love seeing cards that require colored mana only too like Leatherback Baloth. Gold cards are amazing but players should be rewarded more heavily for committing to their colors.

Nearly every card in Time Spiral block was a throwback to at least one previously printed card.

This card references both Giant Spider and the Penumbra creatures from Apocalypse.
