One thing that really annoys me about these "colour indicators" is that they aren't mindful of people with colour blindness, while the earlier system of flat-out stating in a card's text what colour it is, if it isn't obvious from the mana cost, was.

People underestimate how good cards like these are. I mean, you could destroy anything from a Jace, the Mind Sculptor to an IsIand, because they're both not black creatures.
