Seems like a good limited pick to trigger evolve multiple times. Bounce him back to your hand after it hits the field. Rinse. Repeat.

Totally not a Ghostbusters reference at all.

Return a creature with an ETB effect and get three power of unblockability. Nifty.

RUBEUS HAGRID IS A DIMIR AGENT O.O

"I've said too much."
"I shouldn't've said that."
"I shouldn'ta told ya that."
"I shouldn'ta said that."
"I should Not have said that."

Think about it. He's the Perfect Spy. Make everyone think you employed a Moron, then use whatever psychogenic probes you stuck into him to -ACTIVATE- him after he's gained the trust of....EVERYONE @.@

AND He's the KEEPER OF THE KEYS! O.O

Speaking of Ghostbusters references: they could print a Gatekeeper in this block and it would be relevant...

4/5. Locksmith by day, ciphered Dimir agent by night. Who knew!?

"Who are you? How did you get in here?!"
"I'm a locksmith... and, I'm a locksmith."

Awesome alone but awkward in multiples in limited. Not a ton of things you want to return to your hand in GTC.

Good for Dimir in that it is unblockable.
Good for Simic in that you can evolve some more creatures.

I guess I sort of already evaluated the mechanics of this card, so now for the flavor. This guy has the keys to everywhere in the city, and is hence unblockable. Pretty useful when the entire planet is a city, I'd say. I think this is another one of those so-called top down design cards, but as you can see by my above comment, it also fits very well mechanically in the set. Unfortunately this is still somewhat of a mediocre creature; there are better unblockable guys out there.

Don't see the "return a creature" as a drawback. If it's a drawback, it's in the wrong deck.

Feel like the return creature to your hand is probably more of a gift than a drawback, especially in a deck with Balustrade Spy.

Can give easy wins in draft and works well with cipher. But it can also be a dead draw. It should have probably been a 1/2 for one with the same abilities to make cipher playable.

Fun with ninjas, since he can bounce them and then use evasion to bring them back out...

But really, using him like that is a bit too slow on account of the fact that he'll suffer repeated summoning sickness. Just using Whispersilk Cloak on your ninja instead.

Another nice thing about this card is that, as an unblockable Rogue, it's perfect with Prowl.

So... Ephara? A little mana intensive, but it ensures Ephara stays a non-creature while getting cards until Aetherling shows up.
