One of the worst cards in the set. Still pretty cool art. And not a terrible ability.
You know what, I might just play this in limited.

Remember, Drogskol Reaver is still in standard. Having a cantrip with some life every turn for 2 mana isn't too shabby.

This was done much better years ago with Ghost-Lit Redeemer. This is missing some well needed *oomph*

I love how the creature type is cat. It describes how lethal it really is.

It's interesting what synergy can do for a card. If this was in a set with Ajani's Pridemate, and a card that gave cats a bonus of SOME type, this card wouldn't look that bad. But there isn't enough/good enough life gain cards to make a good standard life gain/cat deck and there are better older choices. Oh well.
Limited beater. Remember Grazing Gladehart? This may be a little worse, but repeated life gains is still quite relevant.

1/5. So this is what happens when you make a kitty hotbox with Orzhov incense. Groovy psychadelic effect.

Judging from the artwork, this would have been the last white card in this set i would have expected to tap for lifegain.

Have you tried to tame a tiger? I'm pretty sure it's risky stuff, and the people who are trying are just priests. Chances, they lost one or two guys trying to tame this.
Taming feral animals for your religion may seem weird to you, but it's their faith: some religions fast (stop eating or only eat certain things or at certain times) and some used to have sacrifices. Sure, THAT sounds weird NOW, but it's a different culture and a different time in North America (I'm assuming most of the commenters are from Canada/USA). Ravnica isn't a 2-hour drive from your house, you know.
So yeah Kelptic, don't you sound like a bigot against the Orzhov religion now?

Perhaps the lifegain represents the awesome drugs that the priest is giving you in order to make an ordinary cat look like that.

Mediocre for sure, but not terrible. Repeatable life gain and the potential to profitably block some creatures is good. Being a 4-mana 2/3 is not so good. At least it's a kitty.

Winner of the Thragtusk Memorial Trophy for most random creature with lifegain.
