I use this in my beast deck. Throwing a Lightning Talons on him works wonders.

Not better than Giant Spider, by any means, but competing for the position of efficient reach. One less power makes it a less impressive beater, but he is much better at blocking those fliers, especially with a teeny little enchantment or equip to boost its power to more impressive levels.
