I love the "Shuffle Your Library" part of the original printing.

Pretty sure removing the shuffle generally makes it better, since you get to take the best card and put the useless ones on the bottom, increasing your chances for a good draw. It does suck if you see two important cards and have to put one out of reach, but I don't think that will happen too often.

They changed it because it was never meant to be there. IIRC it was a goof up by the templating group.

Impulse is another card in the mold of Brainstorm, Ponder, and Preordain. If you like Vintage or Legacy, you'll want a bunch of copies of these for all your decks. If you like Commander, get 1 copy of every single card in Gatherer that looks remotely like this. (2cmc or less)

Oddly enough the translated to Portuguese version of the card did not mention the need to shuffle statement. And as I always played with portuguese cards, I had no idea of that, until I recently played a chaos draft with cards in English. However by the nowadays rule, the Portuguese cards need no errata :).
