Hindsight teaches us that this is the best mox printed in Alpha, as it is in blue which was the strongest colour from the beginning. However, at the time people would trade these for the mighty shivan dragon. Shandalar taught us that even if you are using these to power out a war mammoth, your deck will still be better with moxen than one without.

So true, once I had my hand on a mox, it went into my deck, you only had to worry about ante after that...

And who rated this less than a 5, shame...

Being able to play two mana producing permenents on any given turn. Its no suprise the Mox gems are so sought after (as well as being restricted and banned).

Instant 5. You need to be hunted down and peed on for rating it less.

My birthstone... makes me like this mox the best. Oh yeah, and it makes blue mana. Bonus.
Kidding. Its a Mox. What can I say that hasn't been said a million times? Timeless MTG card...

Can't decide if this or Jet is better, I would guess this one, simply because it has 'T: draw three' combo with recall of the ancestral variety.

Now worth more than actual sapphire.
