This is one of those experimental mechanics that just wasn't as powerful or popular as they would have hoped, at least not for the cost. It's a variation on the self-withering creatures like Rock Hydra/Balduvian Hydra that had been previously printed: you couldn't increase the power of this guy beyond baseline, but you also didn't have to let him wither unless he was going to be destroyed. If either the regeneration or the golem himself were just {1} cheaper, this would be a better card.

...oh dear god. It took me longer than it should have to realize there's a bowls = bowels pun going on.

The artwork on this card is so cool. I really tried to make this card work. This card sucks. Don't use it for anything. If you want too be creative, make Mtenda Herder or Soldevi Sage work. If you want to win, use google. You can make it happen. This card is terrible from the cold hard stare of mechanics.

At least it works with Power Conduit as a counter generator.

There logic.

~Red gets a 3/3 vanilla for 4.
~This is a 3/3 with a positive ability.
~Colorless so should cost 5.

And thats how you get unplayable garbage! THANKS R&D!
