awesome card... lets you sift through the deck, and can serve double purposes if the deck plays about with the graveyard...

I agree, a little hard to cast but totally worth it, having the cards go to the graveyard instead of removed from game is a huge boon for blue/black decks. Lots of tricks with this card.

I played it once or twice, a lot of time ago! It costs a lot, considering that is a double (almost...) Impulse. If it were an instant or costed 2BlueBlue, or said "Look at the top EIGHT cards of your library...", it would be much more better...

@leomistico Yeah, it isn't quite a double Impulse, but this lets you look at seven cards with only one card. I'd much rather have this than try to get two Impulses in my hand at once.

I'd rather use Soothsaying or Sensei's Divining Top for library-digging but this has interesting implications for BlueBlack reanimate decks. Soothsaying can then be used at the end of the previous turn, if you had mana available, to get a peek at what you might be able to use out of your hand and what you might want put into the graveyard.

Since It has Ancestral in the name I'd love to see this add three cards to hand, even if it cost an extra mana, although even with the extra filtering, sorcery draw 3 at 2UUU seems fair.
