Decent abilities for a common one-drop.

This creature can save your own and help kill opponents'. It allow you to replay creatures with CIP abilities. It was used, IIRC, in a championship mono-black deck using City of Brass, Undiscovered Paradise, and Gemstone Mine to utilize this card and sideboard to a great degree.

A one-drop pinger is pretty slick, and the Blue ability is far from useless too.

Red has better ways to do reusable damage, but the option is nice. I suppose the U ability can be quite strong in the right deck.

Temporal aperture gives your the card back at 5U total, which is great for your expensive monster that wasn't quite invincible.
