Not bad if you're laying back and need some form of mana exel, but lots of cards are much better, likeDark Ritual or something similar, would obviously be much preferable.

Wizards was terrified of making good mana artifacts in Mirage block. They definitely succeeded with this cycle. With Lion's Eye Diamond? Not so much.
