Really only handy if you in a tight bind for sacrificial tokens.

Well it's one of the few cards that gives you more than one creature and can be played on turn one.

That is to say I'd rather play squirrel nest, but in a squirrel deck it might find a home.

it's a squirrel turn one, then a guaranteed squirrel turn 2 if ur smart enough to take 2 lands in ur starting hand. fun to then play a squirrel mob turn 3 and get a 4/4 squirrel, then u follow up with more squirrels turn 4, maybe an acorn harvest and attack with a 6/6 squirrel mob.

chatter of the squirrel is one card for 1, 3rd of ur 6/6 squirrel mob, lol or u could play another chatter to get a 6/6, then have one mana left for a rancor, 8/6 tramply squirrel beats turn 4, it's 3 manna for 2 squirrels, a good card in my books.

@Arachibutyrophobia:

Yes and no. When you flashback a card you are casting it, so Nantuko Shrine's ability will trigger. However, since you're casting Chatter of the Squirrel, the card will be on the stack, not in your graveyard and so won't count itself. It will, however, still count other copies of Chatter of the Squirrel in your graveyard, but since using flashback exiles the card afterwards, you'll get limited mileage out of that.

The name sounds like a card from an Un-set.

On saturday, with just one turn left to sneak a victory before I lost, and before drawing I said aloud, "I need a Chatter of the Squirrel." And then I drew, and revealed the miracle card to the other players. Thank you Sphinx-Bone Wand! The ability to cast two spells for just 1GreenGreen make this the most powerful card in the deck when I have a wand in play.
