I like the concept of this card, but sadly it seems like this card might not be that usefull most of the time.

It doesn't quite fit with the color scheme. Red doesn't bother with -1/-1 counters and whatnot; red just blows the ever-loving snot out of creatures with direct damage.
That said, this isn't bad if you're playing against a deck with lots of big creatures in it. But against most decks a Pyrotechnics or Arc Lightning (or if you have enough mana, a plain old Fireball) is more versatile and effective.
Hmm, this card's kinda like a fork in chess. Even if it isn't quite fitting, and even if it's mildly overcosted, this is pretty nice for a homelands card.

Not worth it when your opponent gets to choose. 2.5 stars though for the nifty trick suggested by the ruling; target two things and zap one, and the other must be sacrificed. Not sure creatures immune/out of reach of burn that aren't pro-red are common enough for that to be worthwhile, but it is something that is otherwise hard to do with pure red.

Like most cards that grant an opponent a choice, its not that great. Only useful when the 2 creatures are basically the same level of threat to you.

This is a red card with a black effect and a white name. WTF?
That's Homelands for you.

I notice that for Afterlife "buried" translates into "Destroy, it can't be regenerated" but here it's translated into a sacrifice. Why is that? Well... then again, the first printing of Afterlife used an Essence token, too, not a Spirit token...

@Tanaka348: If opponent getting to choose was the point Diabolic Edict would be crap.
