I looked up all the Minotaurs, about 27 most of them very vanilla. This has gotta be the worst, looks like it might be useful, card I've ever seen.

@InternetNinjacy: I'm pretty sure Anaba Bodyguard is worse than this guy.

Don't make fun of Minotaurs! I've got a didgeridoo deck that will totally beat you. Instant speed creature summoning is nothing to scoff at. However, it does rely on a few changelings to fill it out. But the leveling Minotaur in Rise of the Eldrazi is pretty good.
Oh yeah... Why is this card a rare?!?!

It seems that minotaurs were one of the earliest and lamest attempts at tribal Magic. Fittingly, the minotaur lord is one of the worst ever printed. The fact that it has to tap to buff one minotaur for one turn puts it miles behind lords that were printed in Alpha, like Lord of Atlantis. If WotC were seriously concerned about minotaur decks being overpowered, that must have been a sad time for Magic.

Well, they have printed some useful Minotaurs in recent sets... not that doing so forgives the underpowered lunacy of Minotaur tribal, of course.

If you think Homelands isn't a good set, you don't truly understand the power held within it. Why else would they make Apocalypse Chime?

Because they knew that an all Homelands deck would be so strong, there needed to be a card you could carry at the ready to destroy the power of the Homelands.

Homelands...the best set in MtG.
