Great for EDH, especially if your general has 6 power like the Ur-Dragons (to get that last 3 general damage). Not too good anywhere else due to the one time and conditional use of its ability to recreate a rather mediocre spell...and the "1 damage to you" is pretty lame. But since it is damage you can theoretically stop it with something like Runed Halo or Pariah.

Pretty meh. I mean, I get that once you're out of Giant Growths, having access to more would be awesome, but if you've already used all of your Giant Growths, you should have already won the game.

terrible card, i understand how it could be used, but stil a terrible card... i have one and im tempted to tear it up right now, but i have too much love for this game to do so!!

Paying the 1 life for the green mana is sort of silly, perhaps a simple tap and then green + life for a +1/+1 and then maybe give 2 or 3 counters for the sacrifice?
