It gets some grief, but it has some interesting applications for whittling down an early-game big guy that someone manages to get out on you.
Throw this on a High upkeep creature and whittle it down to a total wimp. It also can be used to destroy an indestructable creature, since it utilizes counters vs damage.
Going to a Mexican wrestler for dentistry. The stuff of nightmares.

You could put it on your own Carnifex Demon. How about Deity of Scars? Or things that get hard to handle with too many +1/+1 counters on them, like Myr Prototype. And that's only on your own creatures. You can still use it to ping an enemy fatty.
