It's not Glare Of Subdual, it's not Opposition, but it's mono-white! :) However, you have to compare it with Sandsower, which can block creatures.. Then again, it's a lot more vulnerable and the spirit's ability is worse once you want to tap down more than once creature! :(

For anybody wondering about the flavor text, Commodore Guff is one of the Magic novels' authors.
Yes. That happened. It's about as ignored as canon possibly can be, but rest assured the fourth wall suffered. He makes for an at best goofy character and at worst insufferable pointless addition.
