Fun with tutors from Mirage, and other things that reveal the top card of your deck.

Hmmm.....
Well, Magus of the Future or Future Sight for one thing.
As for the other thing.... Why on earth does this not have flying?

I wonder why it has the name Petra. What does it have to do with that place? or is it just a coincidence? The set kinda fits the atmosphere of Jordan and the other middle east countries, so it works, but i do not remember seeing any sphinxes there...

Ostriches have wings, does it mean they fly?

This non-flying winged sphinx still combos well with Sensei's Divining Top and/or Soothsaying.

Need one of these in blue. Either with a really low casting cost, or a triggered ability.
Something like Conundrum Sphinx.

"Petra" means something like "rock"... The city of Petra is known for being partially carved out of rock. (It's also the name of many Eastern European rockin-hotties like Petra Nemcova, but I digress.)

Anyways, being made of rock would explain why having huge wings doesn't mean something can fly.

This card made me realize I want to own the entire Chronicles set
