A tad costly, but I guess you COULD use its ability to make it a rather annoying blocker, or save it from some Titans put into play with the Quicksilver Amulet.

If the activation cost was 1W it would be a lot better. As is, you can't really argue about a 2/1 flyer for 2W in Limited that can save itself--outside of Limited, I doubt it will see any play.
Searchlight is black, and reads, ": Both this creature and the creature blocking or blocked by it die this combat," while Moonlight is white, and reads, ": Neither this creature nor the creature blocking or blocked by it die this combat."

Toilet Paper Elemental. About as useful as a flying douche.

@NoobOfLore: Assuming you have nothing buffing it in any way that would prevent damage or increase its toughness? Then yes. Otherwise, you could just be swinging with a creature that costs a total of 7 mana (plus whatever the cost of buffing him might be) in order to temporarily gain deathtouch.
Either way, both this and searchlight geist are overcosted, as are their abilities. Voiceless spirit, for example. Same cmc, comes with first strike though. Honestly, if the activated ability of this card at least prevented ALL damage to it this turn, it might, maybe not be quite so bad, but as it is, it's only combat damage. As it is, I can't see anyone really getting excited to shovel 4 mana per turn into a fairly mediocre card.

Would've been cool if it had 3 power, would've been great if it had all its current stats but cost 2 mana. Unfortunately, it's just limited fodder.

overcosted, but it would go great in my spirit deck, where I don't have anything to spend my late game mana pool on anyways.
