I don't exactly get why they couldn't just simply reprint Orcish Artillery in Ice Age as well.
Maybe they insisted on that flavor text...

It was long a custom when reprinting creatures to give them new names. Sorceries, instants (interrupts, mana sources), enchantments (auras) and lands cept their names, but not creatures (summons).

Although an interesting effect for sure, dealing three damage to yourself every turn is just too much of a downside for this card to be that good.
