It's pretty good in multiplayer. Instant type makes it much more usable. The hand disruption is fun. Biggest thing is that it beats shroud and protection. It gets through about everything but indestructible. Nice deterrent.

I love Extinction, but I can't really play this due to just one mana difference (I run 18 lands, 2 of which don't even produce mana, haha).
I'd love to try this in Black Control though. This too often becomes a one-sided Damnation and simply wins the game that turn if you can resolve it.

This card was used at the time primarily killing Rebels. Rebels got really annoying anti-black and recurring tricks and this card nuked them all.

This card is pretty common in my EDH/Commander group. It pulverizes Sliver decks, Rebel decks, kills token hordes, and can pluck cards from hand after a tutor.

Then they get boardwiped. The best I've hit for is ~8 merfolk + their hand full of the folk. It was a lullmage style control/mill deck, and I had to wait until he countered not only one of my spells, but someone elses as well. Blew that board up good I did!
