O it is excellent to have a volcano's strength

Never before have volcanoes been weaker! Seriously though, why would someone ever use an Aura that doesn't have either 1) some sort of recurability, or 2) create an immediate answer-me-or-die threat? I've tried, truly I've tried--but getting 2-for-1'd has soured me on Auras.

Dirty against red. Undervalued a bit, perhaps.

This card is a must-have if you are playing red and still a solid aura even if you aren't.

Slap this baby on your red intimidate creature, and shazam! +2/+2 and unblockable, more or less. (You are a red mage, surely you can smelt the rest.)

Not until you lose to a card do you actually respect it. With the new standard featuring 5 types of mountains (Mountain,Stomping Ground,Blood Crypt, Sacred Foundry, and Steam Vents)

Yes this is the ultimate Sideboard card. I ran a shockland only to see my opponent put this on a guy and began hitting me for 4 damage per turn. I had no way of blocking to utilize any of my combat tricks. The +2/+2 bonus is good, the Mountainwalk is crazy good.

This is really good (and seeing quite a bit of play in a red-dominated standard right now) because not only does it make your guy unblockable, it also puts it out of range of most burn spells commonly played. That means getting two for one'd is a lot rarer than you'd expect and it does so much to win you the race.

"The mountains bend to no one" ~ except for any creature you slap this onto.
