This card is playable only because it's Iron Man.

I'd say this is the best, not because of his Shellhead artwork, but because this color combination has no access to Green mana dorkiness, and is less likely than Esper to stoop to Artifact dorkiness.

(Remember- if you're thinking artifact dorkiness in the first place, there are loads better artifacts to consider. like Blightsteel Colossus. who happens to be creature type-Golem. yeah. 'Strictly better' doesn't even BEGIN to cover it, does it? :P o.O )

so, Grixis colors actually need this kind of ability more than the others do. even though you've already got all the Rituals between two colors, and there is probably some odd Blue mana ramper that's weaker than Mox Sapphire (so people won't complain when you play it), yet strong enough to be worth it (such a card is probably one of a kind).

All that said....everyone saying Composite Golem is way off track. We're looking to ramp into Dragons, right? we want stuff that costs less than actual Dragons. (unless you want to have enough mana for Dragon + X in one turn, like an extra aura to stick on the Dragon, or a live counterspell in hand)

Just purely focusing on 'GET. DRAGON. NOW.' like a Timmy, I'd recommend the Ravnica Signets. Same basic concept, and they compare favorably to being called Colored Sol Rings. Except printable.

But the Shellhead art IS nice. After all that ranting, I'm forced to admit this card is 5/5 :P

EDIT: I can't wait for Aaron Forsythe's 'Random Card Comment of the Day' to hit this guy. In 11,000 something days, it'll have to eventually! xD we need to make sure he covers this one before he clicks on any of the other members of the cycle- I think he skips cycle members of ones he's already covered.

P.S. how did Ironman get to serve crosis, and why dose he add UBR, is it cause hes Uber?

This card is comparable to Gilded Lotus. Both cost , but the lotus ramps 3 permanently and is unaffected by summoning sickness and creature destruction.

I was trying to figure out why this guy is rated a full star and a half higher than the other attendants. Then I saw the art.
