What a handy artifact! It can either give you mana or turn into a flying bird! This will make a great addition to my blue/white flyer deck that I will use in the pro tour because I am a pro.

It's a nice upgrade to seashell cameo. Good in limited and probably standard too. For Commander and the likes though it sucks.

Well, it's no signet, but those things were crazy good. As a mana generator that doubles as a creature it seems fairly costed, if a bit dull. 1/5 or 1/6 and throw defender on there would have fit the Azorius flavor better and made it an interesting choice for Azorius stall decks, I reckon.

I admit, I laughed at the first two times. But Stormcrow's the only thing worth overpraising on this site. You should take your humor somewhere else, and maybe quote only one or two extremely pathetic cards every set rather than every single one.

No signet sure, but not strictly worse by any stretch either. In particular, I like the implications in Limited for the Keyrunes - much more dynamic. Great work on these replacement signets for this trip to Ravnica, very flavor forward.

It's a bird on a stick. Literally.
This thing is amazing in control decks. You can whip the board, then attack with this guy to get some small pings. It also fixes your mana, accelerates your mana, can chump block, etc.

This is not my bird. I want my bird, I miss my bird. My bird cannots go to the Pro tours since I am only novice to the Magics game. I do not use the blue or whites so this is not good cards for Mono-Black controlo decks with the powerful removal spells for when this dudes a fun flying guy, but not my bird. No!!!

Wow, Azorius has the most dull flavourtext ever, which is actually very flavourful.

No signet? This totally outclasses the signet. You can actually use this to attack/defend and win games. 1 extra mana to cast is the only downsidenand then you get more benefits and flexibility as the games goes on which is what Blue/White decks are all about... Signet? Has nothing on this keyrune.

Really, any colorless artifact that produces multiple colors of mana is good in Commander.

As far as other uses, it's an evasive attacker that dodges sorcery speed removal. Great in Standard and Limited.

Some people look at the Keyrune cycle primarily for the creatures they can become, judging by the ratings. Although this isn't the strongest of the Keyrune creatures, it is in white and blue, which are two colors which tend to lack reliable mana acceleration cards. And in the colors of Sphinx's Revelation, quick extra mana can be a big deal.

If for some crazy reason you played Council of the Absolute naming this you could play it for the reduced price of 1 then tap it to regain that mana, and then play something else. But you'd be better off naming something else really.

"This thing is amazing in control decks. You can whip the board..."

When a board comes along, you must whip it...

If their creatures are too strong, you must whip it!!!
