The weakest of the boons, saw very little play during its lifetime...and if so it was for the life gain, not for the prevention, since the COP's did a much better job for that...
Let's all laugh at white! 3 colors get some of the most powerful cards ever made, the 4th still got an all-time staple, and white got a card that barely saw play. HA HA

Now if this did both at once, and they changed recall to "scry 3, draw a carD", we would have a successful and balanced boon cycle.

Because back in the day, Wizards R&D thought: 3 life = 3 damage = 3 cards = 3 power/toughness = 3 mana

They already (kind of) did that - Preordain. It's banned in modern.

Too often do I forget to buy these with my starting gold. I generally buy tangoes, some branches, some starting stats item or a ring of armor, and then - bam - I'm out of gold before getting around to buying one of these!

Yeah, it's a bad card, but can we just talk about those floating hands for a minute? What do they even need the salve for?

Not a great card, but at least it could keep your White Knight around after a lightning bolt. This was in the very first deck I owned and I took it out pretty quickly.

I believe you mean Ancestral Recall, not Time Walk.

Also, the artwork is not great.
