Guess this is the new Vines of Vastwood. seems good, even though it loses the "counter an enchantment" or something functionality.

That creature was never really there anyways...

The latest in a long line of unique pump spells, one per set.

Vines also gives you a +4/+4 for GG, which is perhaps even more important than the hexproof part.

Vines is the superior card, since even with the one Green function you can target your opponent's creatures.

Even so, it's a nice card that does it's job.

The Vines win on flexibility and power, this wins on efficiency.

Did anyone notice that the reminder text is wrong? It's not "spells or abilities your opponents control", it's "spells or abilities the creature's controller's opponents control".

@sonorhC: 'Target creature YOU control', so I think the text is right...

perhaps i've been spoiled by the vines of vastwood but this just utterly pales in comparison. perhaps if it were +2/+2 and hexproof it would have worked; either way, i still miss giant growth.

I view it as something more functionally akin to the new Withstand Death.

Cue Guile's Theme for target creature.

Great card, one of the main reasons I rarely play green (in standard or extended) is the lack of "Tricks" they can do outside of Big-Creatures-Out-Fast. Cards like THIS are what draw me back in.
More or less counter spell for green with a little umph. Thumbs up. 4/5 At least.

Better than Turn Aside in most U/G decks. A decent replacement for Vines of Vastwood, it's a bit more efficient at the cost of a smaller pump. Regardless, it gets the job done alright. 3.5/5

There needs to be one of these in standard at all times.

Wonderfully green. This should probably go in core sets.

"I mean, I was gonna hit her with a giant fireball... but then it turned out she had bark for skin, so there's no way it would work."

@JFM2796: Actually, it's still there. "Hexproof"="no longer a valid target for enemy auras", after all. (Or is there some other nuance you were thinking of?)

By the way, is it me, or are cards like this effectively heirs to Avoid Fate, of all things? It must have made quite an impact when it came back in Time Spiral...
