This is actually pretty good. A 3/3 first striker for 4. And if my opponent wants him to lose first strike he has to waste mana? Sign me up.

Here is a neat trick you could do. After he deals the first strike damage, use his ability. He will then do normal damage as well. Effectively making it double strike if your opponent doesn't do anything about it.

That makes this guy a little better. If you are attacking in and they can't block favorably, than your opponent will always have to keep up and use two mana, just to prevent 3 bonus damage.

Tommy9898 you are wrong, but it's the rules fault. The rules team thought that giving/removing first strike shouldn't be used to prevent or double damage, which is why these kind of interactions are explicitly forbidden. See this link: http://www.pojo.com/magic/featured%20writers/Judge/012703.html

In Soviet Russia, he takes away YOUR first strike.

Here's a question, if the minotaur has first strike from another source, say Sparring Collar or something like that, will he still lose it if they pay the two? And if they pay the two then you give them first strike then what happens?
