Wonder if we'll be seeing a zombie Breakfast variant.

T1 - T3 Mill yourself -> T4 flashback Unburial Rites on a fattie. The 1/4 body definitely helps, too.

I keep thinking his name is Armored Scab. That's 'scab' as in 'scab labor', those people who, during a strike, are hired to do the jobs of the workers who are striking.

This is mildly playable. The strategy is more than sound, this just probably isn't the Spikey-est way to go about it. Forbidden Alchemy? We will be seeing Dredge in Standard, mark my words. Skaab Ruinator + Birthing Pod. Hell, plus Sword of Vengeance. Just in case there was any person left on the entire planet who didn't know Tinker-Belle was broken, here's a hint: she is.
She hasn't yet seen her last banned list, I think. I wouldn't put it past them to restrict her in Vintage. :P

All those dead guys must be X/1s. Stop attacking into him already!

Interesting. Basically an early wall for graveyard focused decks. Three mana is nice too, since most reanimation spells cost four. Sure it's somewhat random, but still. 3/5

would have looooved hexproof- would have justified the cost for me... Otherwise I feel that a better alternative while ramping up a graveyard deck is mulch, maybe curse of the bloody tome.

It's a horned turtle with a drawback that's actually a boon. Honestly, a solid card that buys you plenty of time in the early game. It blocks all day, and even demolishes the weeniest of weenies.

And Horned Turtle has a lower rating than this?? Come on, people, get your priorities straight!

its made for graveyard decks. people who are trying to think around that fact are quite stupid to use this in standard.

Can get a Ghoultree out by himself by turn 4 (on a seemingly rare occasion)
Horned turtle stinks. Zombies are good. Armored Skaab is an archetype enabler.

@A3Kitsune so those aren't dead X/1's, they're just lazy workers! Good, my conscious is clear.

Between this guy and his little brother, self-mill decks got a lot of love in the Innistrad block. Not only do these guys mill on entry, but they also provide solid blockers for slowing down those ever-present aggro decks.
Remember! Even if you mill over one of these guys, it still counts as a creature. Do your best to make sure your spells have Flashback, and you'll be milling yourself card advantage in no time.
This guy may not be flashy, but he's the glue that holds his decktype together, and that kind of synergy deserves respect. Excellent design.
