Annoying cycle but had some use, especially since they were splashable...

Circle of protection red killed me so hard being a monored prefering person. So, I can imagine the same would be true for pure green users.

This is great in commander/multiplayer. Many decks splash green or have multi-colored creatures that are green. One of the biggest threats in commander is a big green trampler (or effects like that of Hydra Omnivore, and this things handles them piece-of-cake.

Not to mention Hurricane.

This card Combo with the other circle of protections and sphere of safety makes an excellent defense!

When I was a kid, the area I lived in looked down on "colour controlled" cards (anything that affected a specific colour. As a result, I don't think I've ever seen one of these in play.
Not taking damage from those big green meanies would seem rather handy though.
