Weird similarities with Serendib Efreet, I can't decide which one's the better card.

I like this a bunch. It probably won't see much play in standard, but I wouldn't want to run into one in the prerelease.

This deserves a better rating.

This is one of those cards that reads much worse than they actually are. Quite good, but I like Demonic Taskmaster more.

Limited Awesome. Splashable mana cost, efficient body, evasion, managable drawback.

Huzzah for blue beatdown!

This card is just beautiful. The mana cost looks so nice up there, and the name just rolls off the tongue. The card is quite a beater, way over the curve, and can take some damage before going down. Also, the art is just astounding. Overall, while not the best card that the pros are going after, it's quite powerful and just dripping with flavor

Limited experience. This card seems like one of those cards that reads worse than it is. I drafted it, but didn't include it in my deck.

Think of this as a "loner." with homicidal suicide this card is great combo. it's very powerful on it's own for 3 mana, but added 2/3/4 of them + the flying enchantment and they become very powerful indeed.

This and Ring of Evos Isle will make waves once M13 comes out. This is going to make blue even more ridiculous than it is now.

I think Serendib Efreet is slightly better. Being able to increase your board presence is a big deal, and while you can gain life to offset Serendib Efreet, you can't work around Fettergeist (at least not effectively.)

I kind of ignored this and Demonic Taskmaster, but I can actually see them doing pretty good with keyrunes and lots of control toys.

Fettergeist has a less comboable drawback than Demonic Taskmaster, which makes him less interesting in that apsect.
But his switched power and toughness make it so much safer against burn, because there's just a plethora of (frequently played) cheap burn spells that deal up to 3 damage, Lightning Bolt being the biggest offender.

I just wish they were both 4/4, this might even allow them some serious play in control decks for example.
Both have astounding, (non-functionally) intimidating artwork, so it's too bad they don't entirely live up to it.

in a blue deck, the drawback isn't really a drawback. Unless you are playing a specific creature deck, you will probably only have a couple of creatures in a classic blue deck; this guy stands well with just one or two other creatures, and an army of counters/unsummons supporting it.
