I really think this would have been more interesting with haste. Ce la vie.
Wacky red removal is neat.

Love everything about this card. Abilities, art and awesome flavor text.

Ruhan isn't getting a choice in the matter (not unless he's packing something like Enchantment Alteration, anyway...).

I don't like this one. First strike is a good ability for blockers, but you want that creature to be out wrecking your opponents, and first strike doesn't shine as much there. However, if you're helping a struggling ally, it's not bad, but still not great.

Awesome vow because it gives red a way to deal with ginormous fatties without having to sink all its mana into some killer fireball.

This is probably the worst vow because it doesn't encourage attacking. If they hold back a creature to block, it doesn't really help you at all.
It's nice for stuff that wants to attack, though, like Kaalia of the Vast.
Of course you wouldn't agree to such terms, Ruhan. Especially if there's an one in three chance in a 4-player EDH you'd miss out on attacking. But hey, if it's to point your gigantic axe-club away from my face...

This cycle rocks. I want to buy a Commander set just for these.
Of course, I would use them for two-person duels. +2/+2 and an ability for 3 mana, and an Act of Treason, seeing as it only steals creatures so you can attack with them, has nothing on the creature. Four stars for awesomeness and usefulness.

Nah, Vow of Duty is much worse.
