At 3U Mana this would have been a nice casual card. Like this it's just one more limited filler...

epic art. Less-than-epic card, however.

A flash flying 3/3 for 5? Even in the world of drakes that can be a nice pick.

Admittedly, if I want a 3/3 with flash, i'd rather go for darksteel sentinel

Why is it so hard for wizards to print a decent Drake card? This guy was so close, for less it could have seen some decent play outside limited.
Great artwork, but ultimately wasted because you know, its a Drake, and therefore must be terribly costed. 2/5

Hey, it's a common. At least it's not Chimney Imp.

At the release, my opponent was spitting flashers with two of this guy and a Deceiver Exarch, making combat hell for me. I subsequently overvalued the card the first time I played the new format. It's definitely a fine card, main-deckable all the way, but not by any means an early pick. The format is fast enough that you're not going to be able to leave enough mana up to defend using this guy at instant speed, so combat shenanigans, which are what would make this guy an earlier pick, are out the window. Wait until about 8th pick.

Guys, seriously, pull your collective heads out of your collective butts and realize that cards like this are for limited. And this guy is damn good in draft, and will win you games if left unchecked. Plus, he possibly 2-for-1s if you play it midcombat? Awesome, awesome card for drafts.

Not a true Drake. Look, it has no hind legs.

Works wonders for a Blue deck. Save your mana for a counter, and if you don't need it, Drake at the end of their turn or mid-combat.

@NeoKoda: That's what I thought, looks more like a giant flying leech.

Legs are for rest. You will not rest. You will monitor the spires, or you will be... repurposed.
