It is NOT strictly worse than Vines of Vastwood, even if the vines are much more playable. This can give +2/+2 for one green mana, vines cannot. This can give a bigger pump bonus when kicked.

I ind of want to run this in a poison deck. Also I have to join in with Mode and ask just what that snake is turning into. Seriously is that still suppoused to be a snake?

I agree that the "snake's" head looks weird and that the kicker costs should be lowered by 1 but did you noticed that the snake hat the invasion-symbol on it's side? That's pretty cool, I think.

Waaay overpriced Kicker. If it cost 3, this card would still not be amazing. However, I do remember it from my early days of Magic, so it kind of has some nostalgia for me.

That face!!! I've seen that face before!... Trust in meeeeeeeee, only meeeeeeeee....
For those who are curious, kicker is great because if you need a bigger boost later in the game, you aren't stuck with just a lesser Giant Growth when you need a little more *umph*. 6 mana for a +5 +5 may seem overcosted (note - it still is.), but that's the drawback for the card basically being two cards in one - offering adaptability.
