A pretty meh card. But if you get a chance to use its ability... OUCH!

Also did the artist just give up drawing its butt, or is it being eaten by a sandworm?

Bad WotC! This is not how we deal with regenerators! Oblivion ring and path to exile are how we deal with regenerators!

Very, very good for {R}.

Dragonmaster outcast is better, though.

The "Wizards" think a jackal is a hound, now? They get an F in taxonomy.

I like the Hurr Jackal though. Drew Tucker's art in this case is kind of interesting, in a strange way.

I didn't know it at the time, but this was one of the three rares in the first starter deck I ever bought. The others were Birds of Paradise and Stasis.

Guess which one I kept? Ah, youth. >_<

This may not be the most useful card ever, but I love the art. I would definitely hang a large print of this on my wall. And the more I think about it... at least it's just a one drop, it's not a terrible ability to have on your one-mana opening creature.
