That's one hell of a beating.

I can't say how good it is that it pumps itself.

Another one of my played pre-release cards. Not ONCE did I get to transform him. At least in one case, my opponent cast a spell just to prevent him from transforming into this beast.

Turns, into an 8/5 for 4CC? Plus you get a semi Overrun each turn he survives?

Why. The. Hell. Not.

Made a huge comeback in pre-release thanks to this, Kessig Cagebreakers and Bane of Hanweir swinging for ridiculous amounts of damage.

I'm wondering how strong red/green werewolf will be in Standard.

I once played a duel that ended up in two Cryptoplasms copying this.

Ouch.

this is a powerful effect. You can see that. But the worst part is... you underestimate how powerful the effect is... think about that for a moment

my lease favorite Werewolf. don't even know why. There's nothing wrong with his ability. It's definitely the way the name and art on the 'front' set up the flavor. It's just...IDKN, the solo wolves come off as scarier to me than the packs. The whole 'Horror Trope' thing gets communicated more when it's a single person Transforming from Human to Beast rather than this, which looks more just like a World of Warcraft party going into 'combat mode'. They all get (much) bigger and the leader's got Trample. Fine. He's powerful, so I might end up using him, but not if I can make the ones I find scariest work. Kind of hope Dark Ascension has something I can use instead. These guys are just really tough punks in my books. But still punks. I would be satisfied with a mechanically similar card that had the right flavor. Getting jumped in the street isn't it.

It makes Kessig Cagebreakers very happy.

Can't believe this card hasn't cracked a rating of 4 yet. It is absolutely beast, and it's useful the second it lands on the board. Get a couple out there with Full Moon's Rise and your running right over the top of everything with your werewolves.

what would happen if you cloned him and then cast 2 spell or if you made a token copy of him?

Finally made myself a Werewolves Tribal. I wanted that for so long. Didn't know exactly how many of each creature I would use, but I did know wich ones I would use. So I just bought 4 of every one of them: Reckless Waif, Wolfbitten Captive, Mayor of Avabruck, Gatstaf Shepard, Immerwolf, Kruin Outlaw and Instigator Gang. For the other spells, I got: 4 Moonmist and 4 Full Moon's Rise. Then the lands, I knew I wanted 4 Copperline Gorge and 4 Rootbound Crag. With all that in hand, I just thought: Let's just pile up the whole sets of creatures, plus the 8 other spells, plus the 8 nonbasic lands and 8 forests/8 mountains to close the 60 card count. Then I can playtest it and see how it goes. I'm no expert in building decks, but I am familiar enough with mtg to know that you just don't pile up your shit if you want to build a deck that has a minimal consistency. You gotta pay attention to your mana base, mana curve and all that. It's important to notice here, that I didn't have any pretension of building a truly competitive deck, I just wanted something that would be fun to play, and that had at least a good mana curve, so the deck would have some fluid playability. Then, with the deck set, I started playing against my friends who also have mostly casual decks. I was expecting a trainwreck but surprise, surprise! The deck just played smoothly as I couldn't have possibly imagined. Played again and again with it, and my friends weren't very pleased with taking the ridiculous amounts of damage the deck so consistently pulls off every time. By turn 4~5, things start to get really ugly, really fast. So, anyway, my original prototype, generical list, worked out so well that I didn't do any changes on it. And this beast here, along with Kruin Outlaw, are 2 of the most ridiculous once they flip. The deck is a blast to play with, so much fun. I'm happy it turned out that great. Sorry for the long experience sharing, and my ocasional bad english, it is not my first language =) Peace
