The only time that a deck that wants to play this would have no artifacts on the battlefield at all is post-shatterstorm.
On an unrelated note, why this is a construct and not a golem has always bug the bajeezus out of me.

I remember when I first started, my friend sported a Mirrodin White-Blue Artifact deck, and his deck's box art featured this guy. I was in such awe when I saw this.
Now, after 6 years and nearly $500 sunk into the game, I can easily say that it is pretty average... at least it's a better drawback than Rusted Sentinel.

I'm surprised this isn't a Golem or Soldier. I thought Construct was their cop-out creature type.
