I disagree about the art comment. Art today lacks variety.

So there isn't enough trash art on cards these days?

The art is classic and surreal. How else do you draw "stasis" other than two slightly-balanced figures on a see-saw? It's a great picture, a perfect picture, there could be no other picture.

Combos well with Sleep. Something old, something new...

Works really well in decks that have a lot of creatures that don't tap to attack (now called Vigilance). Combos well with Zephyr Falcon and Yotian Soldier. After playing this, consider using Unsummon to get rid of as many of your opponent's creatures as you can, and perhaps even a Drain Power to keep him from replaying them. Play Drain power first if you have it to help with mana costs.

Doing it old school, oh yeeah!

Requires vigilance to work. Either way, the art will confuse both of you while the effect annoys him.

I really don't understand was attempting to be conveyed with this artwork. I like it, but I honestly think I'll never figure out what all this stuff has to do with Stasis.

The artwork, I believe, is explained simply enough:

The artwork is of what can be assumed to be a painting. Paintings are meant to be stared at and examined, but not touched, and remain frozen in time. Such is the state of the game board once this card is played.
