It's face look like those weird creatures from a Stephen King movie that was long as hell. What is attacking it? Ninjas?

Great flavor and artwork, should have been 4/4 and shows well how rarity equals power.

Now in addition to our decks full of functional hill giants, we can start amassing our decks of functional lowland giants!

At least commons get powercreep too. How about a 4/4 for 1RRR, R+D? Or is that encroaching on Leatherback Baloth?

A 3/4 would be better, at least in-block. But why can't we get a 4/4 for 2RR?

people complain about things like this, saying that it should be a 4/4. then they complain about how powercreep is ruining hte game on other cards like garruks companion. for shame.

It always breaks my heart when I get this guy early in the draft, in a booster with cards I need. I can never really bring myself to not pick him, or to leave him in the common box. Poor guy is just.so.heartbreaking.
(yes, yes, the flavortext gets to me). 5/5 little guy, your home will get better=(

Used two of these guys in the draft for Besieged. They didn't work out too bad. A pair of them swinging with a Kuldotha Ringleader is something to make your opponent tremble.

This is exactly what I've been looking for: a >3 power ogre with no conditions (such as can't do damage to other red creatures, or turns "traitor" if you have fewer cards in your hand than the other guy.) All he needs now is Bushido (like Sokenzan Spellblade).

I'm in love with this guy. I don't care if you can get something a million times better with the same amount of mana, no brainless brute can ever have the same amount of love this little fella.

Hah! Finally a card that can counteract all those annoying ogres!
...oh wait, it's called "Ogre Resister", not "Ogre Resistor." My bad.

It will never see the light of day in constructed. Its purpose is to make limited environment more fun and make the bomb cards stand out more.
Its secondary purpose is to fill space in a booster pack so you dont get a bunch of winners. Making you buy more boosters to get what you need!
I guess its a needed evil but does get old seeing the same vanilla limited garbage every set. Its a shame good art has to be wasted on a useless creature.

I'm a bad person.
My wife came across this card and absolutely loved the text to it. Then, I explained to her what happens in the next set.
Seriously, the flavor text on this guy is just heart wrenching, especially knowing that he probably got pulped into death machine fertilizer in the next set.
