This is probably one of the worst cards in the set. Proliferate gimmicks aren't worth it, and otherwise it's 8 mana for 9 life over 3 turns. There are far more efficient ways to do that. It probably does more as a metalcraft enabler than it does as a defensive card.
That's the problem with dedicated life gain cards like this. If they make them too good, they'll break multiplayer games in half and turn them into drawn-out battles of attrition. Therefore, they become terrible in any other context.
During the pre-release, I managed to pull three of these accursed leonin triangles. If wizards had broken the cycle symmetry and made the life-gain tap-cost , they would have been reasonable; wouldn't have broken them, either. Maybe I can find someone foolish enough to take all three for an Infiltration Lens...

Even damage prevention would do so much better than yet another crappy lifegain. Seconded, it's worst from all triangles. and other triangles are already not too good.

I don't understand why people don't like this card. If this was a white card, then you guys might have a point. But the fact is that all artifacts have an increased mana cost because any deck can use it. Right now this card is rated 1 star. I could think of hundreds of cards strictly worse than this.
This card will never see constructed play, but I just know that some Johnny out there will do something awesome with it in their casual deck. I'll give this card a fair rating of 2/5.

Regardless of the developers' insistence on making poison permanent, it would've been nice to see a little more thought put into this cycle than just shoehorning in yet more lifegain.

Expensive activation and charging costs, W for charging and just tap to remove 1 counter would be at least half playable since Healing Salve is 3 life for W
