So I guess Fear (Intimidate) is too powerful now? I guess it's more flexible mana wise than a Severed Legion.

Rofle @ Jake.
One of the coolest and most irksome pieces of art I've seen on a magic card. I'd be completely unnerved if I looked down at a riverbank and saw some pallid, pustular skulls swimming silently towards me... Now I have scared myself. I will excuse myself from this place. Too frightening.

I've seen art with people being disemboweled, incenerated, disentigrated, eaten alive by a booger, minds rotting, and all manner of other horrors. And THIS is the most unsettling art I have ever seen on a Magic card.

Bog Raiders, your time in Standard has come again. Laugh in the face of he who plays with no swamps in his deck as you throw down Contaminated Ground on a dual land. Then swing for 2. Awesome.

Not like it's terrible in limited. Might make you feel a bit less irritated when you're playing another lolvampires.
@Jake: Now I'm going to remember this every time I see it. Every time.
On constructed: There are simply better ways to hose black, so this shouldn't see play.
On limited: Grey Ogres are usually playable in any given draft format, but since they're obviously inferior to Grizzly Bears, I wouldn't pick this early. If you can snag it late, great! You'll have an evasive threat to board in against other black decks, or at least a "meh" curve filler when you need it.
Miscellaneous: I appreciate Bog Wraith's replacement. The core set staple was a waste of a black uncommon slot but wouldn't really work as a common. This opens up the uncommon slot and works very well at common. Aside: This used to be uncommon, whereas Reassembling Skeleton used to be common.

Bog Raiders can block even if you don’t control a Vampire. Actually, if your opponent controls a Vampire, your opponent may well be the one who can’t block.

The flavor text is fairly win....I can imagine a zombie just shuffling along and stepping on a corpse, his foot crashing through the ribcage...and he....er....it....looks down, shrugs, and resumes shuffling, dragging the corpse along with him.

Really liking the Contaminated Ground idea. Might have to give that a try.
