Despite the card's power level, this was one of Magic's early mascots...

Lol, ttian! But i guess ranting about memes is not the right place here, is it?
And Guest is apparently right by the way, i have an old box from revised. Check out the enclosed instructions book, and you'll see this guy being used as explanatory sample card.

It's got awesome art. A little overcosted now, since a similar (colorshifted) mana cost can now get you a 2/3 with flying, lifelink, and deathtouch, but awesome nonetheless.

Hurloon Wrangler is more useful, depending on who you play with.

Believe it or not, this guy used to be the face of Magic. Frankly, I think he made a much better mascot than that ***-ASS PIECE OF SHIT JACE "PLEASE DESTROY MY PATHETIC DISGUSTING FACE" BELEREN.

Okay I'm done.

After Ted woke up from a drunken night of revelry with a tribal tattoo on his face, he found it difficult to get along in Hurloon society. He lost his job as a hymn singer and eventually left the mountains to go be a roadie for Limp Bizkit.

Excellent artwork and this guy popped up quite a bit when you just needed a critter or two in a burn deck. 3 Mana for a 2/2 was pretty standard in the day.
