One of the many comedic Goblins that Wizards printed...I do have a problem with the flavor text, it implies that the Brigade does not survive its flight...

Did people in 1993 think this card made all your goblins fly? Cause that's how it reads.

Not the people I played with. We just laughed everytime I brought it out. Actually there were a number of funky misprints in the Alpha cards. Part of the entertainment was arguing over the interpretation of the cards and the rules. For example, see the original rules on instants and interrupts. I don't think we ever agreed on how interrupts worked before they were removed. WOTC finally straightened out the rules when they tried to write them into a PC game.

Combo with R&D's Secret Lair, then it will give all Goblins flying.

I like the flavor text a lot. Though it implies that the ability should give it +1/+0 and make you sacrifce at the end of the turn or something in addition to gaining flying.

This card always makes me think of the lawnchair+weather balloon people.

so in 1993 after blockers were declared you couldn't fly your goblins to safety and throw down a EarthQuake? sounds Underpowered. thank god wizards got with it when they started outfitting goblins with wooden machine guns Goblin SharpShooter

A good reminder that Magic cards can be hilarious.

Also goes well with firebreathing, incidentally.
